How to cook authentic Spanish paella for 2
Ingredients:
Olive oil
Green pepper
Garlic
Saffron, if not available, colouring powder will suffice
Prawns
Clams
Mussels
Rice
2 tomatoes
Some people likes to add some onion, but it might make the rice soft, according to mum! Others would add chicken, and other vegetables.
Rinse the mussels, prawns and clams well.
Cut the tomatoes, pepper and garlic in small pieces.
Add salt to them.
Fry them in a pan with olive oil.
Smash the tomatoes, once they are tender, add rice.
Add either saffron or colourant powder.
You might need to add some water.
Add the mussels.
Add the prawns.
Leave it for around 20 minutes, the sauce should dry up and just have little left.
Voila!
p.s. Double the quantities if you are 2 or more people, I thought you would like to start by testing yourself first ;) Please tell us how was it!
