Not many people nowadays knows about the very Spanish popular song, and no, I am not talking about “La Macarena”, or “Asedeje” from Las Ketchup girls…
I am talking about one of the greatest Spanish songs ever made back in 1965, “Una chica ye-ye” sung by Conchita Velasco.
Well know she calls herself Concha Velasco, but back then she was a pretty young lady.
Incidentally she was filming a movie and never considered herself a singer, but in one of the movies she was required to sing this song, and she has never looked back ever since. Everyone knows her as “la chica ye-ye”.
Concha Velasco is very talented in many artistic ways, an actress, a dancer, a singer and tv presenter. It is one of my favourite ladies, she always portrayed herself very well, for any newbies, they have very large shoes to fill..
She is now 75 years old but still looks adorable, I’d dare to say like a Spanish Meryl Streep.
I apologise about the quality of the videos, I could not find anything better. It seems like we will only have good quality videos once she dies, this is the way Spain has become.. I hope she has a healthy and happy and long life...
